Day 2: Kampala - Bwindi
An early start from Kampala takes you southwest and cross the Equator. You drive through Savannah grasslands seeing banana plantations and heads of Ankole cattle with their incredibly long Curving horns. Descend into Kigezi Highlands known as the Switzerland of Africa with terraced farming and Mountain Scenery. Drive through to the nearby gorilla Sanctuary. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Lake kitandara tented camp or mahogany springs.
Day 3: Bwindi
After breakfast, depart with picnic lunch and enter the forest at dawn and enjoy the beauty and freshness of the forest, Home of the mountain gorillas. After a short briefing by the guides proceed through the dense bush to track for these Endangered animals. Other primates also live in the forest including the black and white Colobus monkey and the red tailed monkey. In the late evening, return to the Camp. Dinner and overnight at Lake Kitandara Tented Campor Mahogany Springs.
Day 4: Bwindi - Lake Bunyonyi - Mbarara
Depart from the forest for Lake Bunyonyi, the Lake of little birds. Enjoy a canoe ride on the beautiful narrow lake Surrounded by green hills. Dinner and overnight at Lake Bunyonyi overland camp
Day 5: Lake Bunyonyi – Mbarara
After breakfast, transfer from Lake Bunyonyi and leisurely drive to Mbarara with lunch enroute. Dinner and overnight at Lake View Hotel.
Day 6: Mbarara – Kampala - Depart
After breakfast return to Kampala early enough to have lunch at a chosen Restaurant in Kampala. In the Afternoon go for shopping at the crafts village. Then depart Kampala for Entebbe airport to avoid the traffic jam so that you arrive early to connect your onward flight back home.
