Day 1: Nairobi – Aberdare National Park (Forest Tree Lodge). On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport by a morning flight, met and depart Nairobi to Nyeri for lunch at the Outspan Hotel. Then transferred in the Hotel’s vehicle to Treetops in Aberdare National Park.
This outstanding lodge offers high altitude game viewing, including animals that are rarely encountered elsewhere: Giant forest hog, Bush Pig, Tree Hyrax, Large Spotted Genet, and the elusive Bongo Antelope. Wildlife can be observed from different levels – and from outside where you can see, hear and smell everything and inside where you can sit with a cup of tea and stay warm and cozy. You can put in a request to be awakened during the night if your favorite animals show up. A herd of Elephants might be just feet away and if you are lucky, a Leopard or large male Lion might put in an appearance. Dinner and overnight at Treetops Lodge or similar.
Day 2: Aberdare – Lake Nakuru National Park
Early transfer to Ouspan Hotel for breakfast. Then rejoin your safari driver and proceed to Lake Nakuru Park. Arrive mid morning at Lake Nakuru for a game drive en route before checking-in at your Lodge for Lunch. The Park is regarded by avid birders' as the greatest ornithological spectacle on the Earth. The Park is famous for its millions of Pink Flamingos lining on the lake shore.
The Park is also Sanctuary to the Black Rhino, White Rhino and the Rothschild Giraffe. Bird life include common species like the lesser and Greater Flamingoes, African fish Eagle, Tawny Eagle, Green Wood Hoopoes, Cliff Chat, Great White and Pink Backed Pelicans plus other intra- African Migrants. After lunch and rest, go for an afternoon game viewing cum bird watching drive.
Dinner and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or similar.
Day 3: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara Game Reserve
After early breakfast at the Lodge, depart overland to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve–jewel of Kenya's Game Parks. This enormous Reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains and is famously known for it's spectacular great wildebeest migration. It is a true home of the big five-Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Rhino and Cape Buffalo. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. Then go for afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge or similar.
Day 4: Explore Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Whole day in Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. You may visit the Maasai Villages during midday to experience their culture. Meals and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge or similar.
Day 5: Maasai Mara – Nairobi
Early breakfast at the lodge. Then depart to Nairobi
Lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant. Then transferred to the Airport to check in for your flight back home.
